The armed robbery happened around 12:23 a.m. near the intersection of (3500) North Lakewood and (1200) West Cornelia Avenues, said investigators.
Two black males attacked the victim from behind, and at least one of the offenders was armed with a knife, said police.
Both suspects were wearing hoods and are believed to be in their late 20s.
After the robbery, the thieves fled the scene westbound through a nearby alley, said police.
At the time of this report, there was no indication the victim was physically injured.
