
The blaze, which was reported around 5:39 p.m., erupted in a second floor apartment at 6030 North Kenmore Avenue, near Kenmore and Glenlake, according to police dispatch reports.
At 5:42 p.m., responding officers were still trying to evacuate the building.
Per the last update, one person was transported to Weiss Memorial Hospital in an unspecified condition.
At time of this report, it was unclear if there were any displacements.
