
Around 2:11 a.m., police responded to Rainbow Pizza at 3450 North Halsted Street, near Halsted and Cornelia.
According to police dispatch, a man was robbed and possibly pepper sprayed -- but authorities did not say where the incident occurred.
The offender was described as a black male in his 20s, about 6’3”, wearing a shirt with cut off sleeves.
One minute after police dispatch announced the alleged robbery, police apprehended the suspect outside the North Side pizza place.
Citing police communications, the suspect, who was born in 1986, was carrying a Milwaukee, Wisconsin, ID.
