The incident happened between 6 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. at the Adams and Wabash “L” stop at 201 South Wabash Avenue; which services the Green, Pink, Purple, Orange, and Brown Lines.
Investigators said a black male suspect tried to forcibly take the woman’s cell phone.
The would-be thief is 20 to 26-years-old, about 6-feet-tall, and 180 pounds.
The offender has no facial hair and he was wearing a blue T-shirt and black jeans, said police.
