A woman was knocked to the ground during a violent robbery in Chicago’s Wrigleyville, Lakeview neighborhood, said police.

Some time between 9:30 p.m. and 10 p.m., a woman was injured during a strong arm robbery on the 3500 block of North Fremont Street, near Fremont and Cornelia.

A male riding a bicycle knocked the woman down and stole her cell phone, said police.

Citing police communications, a responding officer observed a bruise or a bump on the victim’s head.

Investigators said the offender has large, white teeth and his hair was styled in a ponytail.

Chicago News Report replayed the police dispatch call several times, but we were unable to get more details on the mugger’s appearance.

According to the last update, the cell phone thief was last seen going northbound on Fremont from Cornelia.
