The vehicular hijacking occurred around 2:38 a.m. in the Jewel-Osco parking lot at 2485 West Howard Street, said Evanston police.
The offenders, three white teens, stole a black 2002 Toyota with the license plate k492690.
According to the latest update, the stolen vehicle was last seen in the area of Touhy and Albany, around 2:40 a.m.
Fearing the carjackers might go his address, the victim asked police to check on his elderly wife, who was home alone.
