If you haven't been to North Avenue Beach, lately... here's what you've been missing!
During Chicago's 2012 Gay Pride Parade weekend, most people were fixated on the happenings in the city's Boystown, Lake View neighborhood.
However, recently discovered video indicates there was plenty of action in Lincoln Park during Pride weekend.
Filmed between the 23rd and 24th of June, an altercation between two female beachgoers at North Avenue Beach, 1600 North Lake Shore Drive, nearly touched off a riot of epic proportions.
The scuffle was over within a matter of seconds, but the prospect of violence sent an African American mob into a frenzy.
Wild with excitement, hoards of young blacks, males and females, left the beach area and swarmed the North Avenue Beach House/Castaways, where they inexplicably yelled, stomped, and danced on top of the tables like wild animals.
All we can say is, may the force be with anyone who is foolish enough to visit this beach; especially, on the weekends!
