Early Wednesday morning, a victim was robbed near a North Side, Lake View East grocery store, said police.

The robbery happened around 2:46 a.m. in front of the Jewel-Osco at 3531 North Broadway, between Addison and Cornelia, said authorities.

Two black offenders, a male with dreadlocks and a female, approached the victim and stole an iPhone, said police.

Investigators said one thief was armed with a knife.

After the armed robbery, both suspects fled northbound on Broadway from Brompton Avenue, according to police dispatch reports.

At 2:49 a.m., police stopped two possible suspects at Wilton and Cornelia Avenues.

As of 3:16 a.m., it was still unclear if the suspects were still at large.
