Written By Chicago News Report on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 | 7/25/2012 08:05:00 PM

A shooting victim, described as an 18-year-old male, was shot in the neck in Chicago’s Far North Side Rogers Park neighborhood.

The injured teenager was discovered on a front porch on the 1900 block of West Chase Avenue, between Damen and Wolcott, around 7:40 p.m.

However, authorities said the shooting actually occurred at the intersection of Damen and Rogers - where police found blood evidence.

After the gunfire, witnesses saw a black male wearing a white shirt and black shorts running away from the crime scene.

The victim was transported to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois, in unknown condition.
