
At 2:51 a.m., citizens reported shots fired near West Wilson Avenue and North Broadway.
A subsequent 911 call indicated drugs were also being sold on the corner of Wilson and Clifton.
Citing police communications, eyewitnesses said one of the seven to eight black males loitering in the area fired approximately ten shots at passengers waiting on the Wilson “L” platform at 4620 North Broadway.
After the shooting, the gunman and his accomplices ran southbound behind Truman College, said police.
No injuries were reported.

In Edgewater, shots were reported on the 6000 block of North Sheridan Road, between Glenlake and Thorndale, around 3:17 a.m.
Construction workers at the CTA Thorndale Red Line station, 1118 West Thorndale Avenue, heard the shots, but they didn't see anything, said police.
