Possible rape victim found in Edgewater Glen

Police discovered the victim of a possible sexual assault in Chicago's North Side, Edgewater Glen neighborhood.

Citing police dispatch reports, at approximately 4 a.m., authorities were called to the Marathon gas station at 6262 North Clark Street.

According to police, a 911 caller observed a white female in a blue car screaming for help.

The driver was described as a shirtless black male with his pants partially down.

When police arrived around 4:04 a.m., the car was gone, said a responding officer.

About five minutes later, an officer in the area was flagged down by a woman who said she was raped.

At 4:14 a.m., a police supervisor was requested.

At 4:57 a.m., officers were instructed to check the security cameras at the gas station.
