Man robbed at gunpoint on North Michigan Avenue

Early Tuesday morning, a man was robbed at gunpoint on Chicago’s Magnificent Mile, said police.

The armed robbery occurred around 4:30 a.m. on the 400 block of North Michigan Avenue.

Based on the investigating officer’s description of where the incident took place, the victim was mugged in the Pioneer Court Plaza at 401 North Michigan Avenue.

Three black males approached the victim on the street. One of the males stuck a black gun in the victim’s stomach and demanded his valuables, said police.

The offender holding the gun was wearing a multicolored hat. He is approximately 350 pounds and about 6-feet-tall.

Traumatized by having a gun stuck in his belly, the victim was unable to described the other two offenders, but the victim believes all three suspects are in their early 20s, said police.

The muggers stole the victim’s wallet, cell phone, and keys.

After the robbery, the thieves fled northbound on North Michigan Avenue, on foot.
