The burglary or home invasion occurred around 12:15 p.m. on the 3400 block of North Lakewood Avenue, between Cornelia and Newport.
The suspect was described as a bald, black man in his 40s.
The burglar was wearing navy-blue clothing, including a short-sleeved shirt. He also had a green lanyard around his neck.
If you see anyone matching this description, contact the police, immediately.
