A man was robbed at knifepoint in front of a Ravenswood neighborhood “L” station, said police.

The armed robbery happened shortly after 1 a.m. outside the CTA Montrose Brown Line at 1817 West Montrose Avenue.

According to the initial police dispatch report, the victim was robbed by a black male offender. However, the mugger’s description was later changed to a male Hispanic.

Investigators said a skinny, 5’2” robber in his 20s, stole the victim’s paycheck and $325.

The suspect, who was armed with two knives, was wearing a black shirt, white pants, and carrying a black backpack, said police.

After chasing the mugger for several blocks, the victim lost sight of the offender somewhere near Ravenswood and Wilson Avenues.
