As of late Thursday evening, police were still looking for a man who tried to sexually assault a woman in Chicago's Lake View neighborhood.
According to a Chicago News Report investigation, the incident occurred at the courtyard building at 813 - 831 West Waveland Avenue... which is sandwiched between the Inter-American Magnet School and the Whole Foods parking garage.
Here's what we've learned, so far:
Around 4:21 a.m., a neighbor observed a partially naked woman screaming for help and called police.
In the initial police dispatch report, the assailant was described as a 6-foot-tall black man.
However, a subsequent report indicated the would-be rapist is a 23-year-old white male, approximately 6'1", and 195 to 200 pounds.
The offender, who was last seen headed westbound on Waveland, was wearing a large white T-shirt and blue jeans.
