At approximately 7:49 p.m., a purse was stolen from 730 North Rush Street, near Rush and Superior, according to police dispatch reports.
The address belongs to Giordano’s pizza place.
A female customer went to the restroom and left her purse on the back of her chair… when she returned, her bag was missing, said a responding officer.
Around 7:53 p.m., the victim’s bank informed her that someone tried to use her credit card at the Walgreens at 757 North Michigan Avenue, near Michigan and Chicago Avenues.
The thieves tried to make a $105.00 purchase, said police.
After reviewing Walgreens’ security cameras, the suspects were described as two black females and a black male.
One female offender is about 5’2” and she was wearing a large, yellow straw hat - a pink and yellow dress with flowers on it - and she was carrying a large black purse.
Police said the female in the straw hat tried to use the victim’s stolen credit card.
The other female was wearing a pink shirt and she had a bracelet on her right arm.
The male offender was wearing a white t-shirt with the words, “sit down… master” on it, black and white Jordan gym shoes, and camouflage short pants.
Investigators said a homeless woman saw the thieves go southbound on Michigan Avenue from the Near North Side Walgreens… then westbound toward Superior Street.
At the time of this report, the suspects were still at large.
