Cops: Man shot twice in Rogers Park?

Citing preliminary police communications, a 33-year-old man was shot in Chicago’s Far North Side, Rogers Park neighborhood.

The victim, who was transported to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois, was shot near West Devon Avenue and North Clark Street, said police.

The exact time of the shooting is unclear, but hospital officials notified authorities around 4 a.m.

Investigators said the shooting victim was shot twice on his right side.

UPDATE: Subsequent reports indicated the victim was possibly shot in the thigh.

UPDATE: At 4:32 a.m., police were sent to Clark and Devon to look for crime scene.

UPDATE: According to authorities, the victim now claims the shooting occurred on the 2300 block of West Rosemont Avenue.
