On December 25, 2011, around 11 p.m., 52-year-old Fernando Lagos-Balsco was killed and two other pedestrians were injured when a vehicle jumped the curb and struck them at 5038 West Armitage Avenue, near Armitage and Lawler, in Chicago's Belmont-Cragin neighborhood.
Anthony Segura, the 22-year-old driver of the offending vehicle, lost control of his car while throwing bottles at a group of people riding in a Mitsubishi, said police.
Authorities said the incident was gang-related.
