A man was robbed in Chicago’s Uptown neighborhood late Tuesday evening; in addition to other proceeds, the thieves stole the victim’s bus pass, said police.

Around 10:27 p.m., a 911 caller reported two men fighting in the street on the 5100 block of North Kenmore Avenue, near Kenmore and Winona.

Investigators said the so-called street fight was really a strong arm robbery in progress.

“They beat this guy up, took his bus pass, 15 bucks, and his driver’s license,” said a responding officer.

The violent offenders were described as two male blacks in their 20s.

One thief, who possibly goes by the nickname,“Kid”, has a dark complexion and was wearing a dark-colored coat. “Kid” is approximately 5’8” and 145 pounds, said police.

The second suspect, who has a light complexion, is also about 5'8", but he weighs close to 200 pounds, said investigators.

The heavier suspect was wearing dark-colored clothes and a hat with floppy ears.

After the robbery, the thieves fled southbound through a nearby alley at Kenmore and Winona.

As of 11:15 p.m., both suspects were still at large.
