
Around 8 a.m., a Soldier Field security officer spotted the package on the north side of a “memorial wall”.
In response, authorities shutdown North Lake Shore Drive at East McFetridge Drive, but as of 8:33 a.m., there were no immediate plans to evacuate the area.
CTA buses traveling in the area were also temporarily rerouted.
If more information becomes available regarding this potential bomb scare, this article will be updated accordingly.
