At 1:53 p.m., several people reported a “large gang fight” near North Broadway and West Thorndale Avenue, on the city's North Side.
Citing preliminary police dispatch reports, the brawl occurred in front of Broadway Armory Park at 5917 North Broadway.
At 1:57 p.m., police at the scene requested a “slowdown”, which indicates there is no need for responding officers to rush to the location.
At 2:05 p.m., dispatch informed the officers patrolling the Edgewater area that 48th Ward Alderman Harry Osterman wanted them to pay “special attention” to Thorndale and Broadway.
At 2:58 p.m., Chicago News Report learned that an officer was stationed in front of the armory to make sure the troublemakers didn't return.
At the time of this report, there was no indication any arrests were made in connection to the previously reported gang fight.
