Around 12:23 a.m., a robbery was reported at Merkle’s Bar & Grill, 3516 North Clark Street, near Clark and Eddy.
After a brief investigation, a responding officer said he wasn’t sure the incident was a robbery.
The officer said the incident was probably a “theft”.
The suspects were described as three male blacks in their 20s.
One offender was wearing a red jacket, a second suspect was wearing baby blue and dark blue flannel, and the third offender was wearing a leather, New York Giants baseball cap.
After the incident, the suspects fled northbound on Clark Street.
No further details are available.
