North Side: 3 people shot in Noble Square neighborhood

Three restaurant employees were shot and seriously wounded after they tried to stop a group of alleged car thieves from stealing another employee's vehicle, said police.

A Frontier restaurant bartender, cook, and a manager were shot at 1072 North Milwaukee Avenue, around 8:15 p.m., reports the Chicago Tribune.

One patient was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital and the other two shooting victim's were taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hosptial of Cook County.

According to the Tribune, the victims are expected to survive.

So far, the media has not released any information regarding the shooter or shooters.
