A thief snatched a woman’s purse or wallet in Chicago’s West Rogers Park neighborhood, also known as West Ridge.

The crime occurred around 8:53 a.m. on the 6400 block of North Artesian Avenue, near Artesian and Devon.

A black male offender, believed to be in his late teens or early twenties, snatched the victim’s yellow wallet containing $100, credit cards, and ID, said police.

The criminal was last seen in the vicinity of Arthur and Maplewood. Police believe the suspect lives in the area.

The crook, who weighs about 168 pounds and has a light beard, was wearing a black jacket, gray pants, and gym shoes.
