Multiple shots fired in Edgewater neighborhood

Early Saturday morning, several residents in Chicago’s North Side Edgewater neighborhood, were startled by gunshots.

The 911 calls started rolling in around 3:40 a.m.

Gunfire was heard on the 5900 block of North Kenmore Avenue, the 6000 block of North Sheridan Road, and near the intersection of Thorndale and Kenmore.

Witnesses saw a man wearing a white t-shirt and black pants, shooting a gun at the corner of Thorndale and Kenmore.

After the shooting, the gunman took off in an unknown direction.

No further details were provided regarding the shooter's description.

There were no reports of injuries or property damage.
