There was a shooting at the Jonquil Hotel, 1600 W. Jonquil Terrace, in Rogers Park. I became aware of the crime around 10:25 p.m.

I'm not sure if there were any injuries, but police were investigating two crime scenes. Officers were stationed in the lobby of the Jonquil Hotel and at 7658 N. Paulina Street (West Jonquil Terrace and North Paulina Street).

The shooter was described as an African-American man with a medium complexion, 5’10” to 6-feet-tall, and 190 to 210 lbs. He was wearing a brown hoodie.

The suspect fled the scene in an older model, red or maroon station wagon. He was last seen headed northbound on Hermitage Ave., towards Triangle Park.
